Questions for Reflection

We invite you to participate in Cup of Wonder with us at You Brew You this advent season. Each week on Tuesday, our episode will include thoughts, quotes and meditations for to reflect on for a few minutes using the questions below. Every day in between, we will post quotes on Facebook and Instagram. We hope you’ll journey through advent with us.

- How is this cup like my life?
- Does the cup’s transparency or cloudiness have something to say to me?
- What does this cup have to say about my prayer life?
- Is there something I really don’t like about this cup?
- How is my life like that aspect of this cup?
- How is my life filled up in Advent/Christmas?
- Are there empty places in my life? How do I fee about that?
- How is my life poured out in service?
- How am I waiting to be filled?
- Do I feel my cup is overflowing?
- What is one area of my life that God would like to be more a part of this Advent/Christmas?
- If this cup were Jesus, held in my hands like a tiny babe, fragile, poor, in need of care, what would I want to say to Jesus about becoming small and helpless and venerable for me? What would I want to say to him about his pouring out his life for me?
- Do I have room in my life for wonder?
- Do I have a sense of the presence of God throughout my entire day? Why? What not?
- What have been God’s personal promises to me?
- Where are the areas of my life in which God has given me hope?
- What needs of others overwhelm my life?
- How do I seek to help the poor and the oppressed?
- What causes my degree of compassion to vary from person to person?
- Most recently, who has entered my life as a sign of God’s presence?
